The ORICIO Lounger is a one-of-a-kind chair, handwoven from 500 cable ties into organic loops. Its design unites contrasts: spiky like a sea urchin on the outside, soft and unexpectedly comfortable on the inside – a sculptural form inviting relaxation.
Alexander Rehn discovered his fascination for cable ties as a design element during his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. The combination of functionality and aesthetics inspired him to create internationally exhibited installations – and ultimately led to the development of ORICIO, a lounger that seamlessly merges art and design into a functional piece of furniture.
